Maria Bertran & Walter Sauermann, New Work at Courcoux & Courcoux Courcoux and Courcoux Contemporary Art in Stockbridge, England will be opening their new exhibition on September 11 with the work of Maria Bertran and Walter Sauermann. Titled "Colours in Movement", works include landscapes, still lives and figures, completed in oil on linen. Both artists work on location when painting the landscape thus capturing the moment through the use of lights and shadows on their canvases. Bertran's depictions of doorways and lavender fields in Provence, France transport the viewer to the peaceful summer fields of that region. Sauermann works in Northern France and his paintings are of a subdued palette, reflective of the light in  the region.
