About Us

Genny Boccardo-Dubey has been involved in the art world for over fifteen years. Her first contact with artists was with her mother, Maria Bertrán, an established plein-aire painter. As a child Genny grew up surrounded by paintings and the smell of the oil paints and media. She became accustomed to the artist’s approach to life – one replenished with passion and anxiety, intertwined with the creative spirit.

Genny has an MBA in International Business and Marketing from USF and a Masters in Art History and Museum Studies from CWRU, a program actively associated with the Cleveland Museum of Art, where the curators and fabulous art holdings are accessible to the students.

Genny held marketing and public relations positions in several institutions including the Laguna Art Museum in Laguna Beach, California. La Cachette Gallery, founded by Genny in 2002, was located in Cleveland, Ohio until 2009. The gallery specialized in International Contemporary painting and sculpture. She was also a Board member at the local community art center (VAC) for six years, helping direct educational art programs for people of all ages, increase operating revenue and civic participation. She is a member of the Cleveland Museum of Art’s Women’s Council, a prestigious volunteer group that assists the museum in fundraising, education and events.

Currently Genny has organized temporary exhibitions with both local and international artists in diverse locations in the US. She represents several artists and regularly travels to view new work for her clients across the country. In the fall of 2009 she relocated to the London area where the art market sets the pace for the rest of the world.

Specializing in uniting the art lover’s vision with the appropriate work of art, Genny prides herself in understanding both the important issues of artwork in your home or workspace and the artist’s desire to transmit an idea through his / her artwork.
